7 Jenny

I hope you, the reader, is happy and well :D
For my second blog I decided to do a D.I.Y. or a Do It Yourself! Project tutorial :)

So this will be about how to turn your dad’s old baggy work shirt into something new and cute to wear!

This was my first time doing this project, inspired by the kpop group Hello Venus’ member Yooyoung!

Unfortunately, most work shirts probably wont have enough fabric to get that “flow-y” effect that you see in this image (unless you found like XXXXXL or something haha) so, this project is kind of like… my take on the style I suppose.

I think it came out nicely :D In fact, I’m actually really proud XD;; Nothing I ever make comes out to be wearable so… :’D hehehe
Anyways.. Here is what you will need!

  1. Work Shirt (Largest Size Possible)
  2. Thread
  3. Pins
  4. Scissors
  5. Pencil/Chalk
  6. Sewing Machine
  7. Measuring tape
  8. Straight edge/Ruler
  9. Iron & Ironing Board

★ 1st Step ★

Find yourself an old work shirt or blouse with a collar (preferably a larger size). :D If you can’t find one at home, there are always tons and tons of these shirts at your local thrift store for very cheap!

What we first want to do with this is cut off the sleeves (try to follow the stitched curve that would encircle your arm and armpit.)

★ 2nd Step ★

In a lot of these steps, I sort of “eye ball” all the measurements and such and continue to try on the shirt haha! So my second step is to try on the shirt and with a pencil, mark the circumference of your shoulder/arm both sides as a guide to where we’re going to cut.

When you take off the shirt, be sure to check your markings and make sure where you curves end are even!

★ 3rd Step ★

Cut out your curve to refine this sleeveless look, but be sure to leave some space between where you are cutting and where you marked out your path with your pencil/chalk.

Then you might want to try it on again and pin the ends of the your arm holes where they will meet under your armpit, to make sure that you are comfortable and the hole isn’t too big or too small :)

★ 3rd Step ★

Now we want to cut from bottom up on both sides of your shirt like so:

And the Result should be this:

★ 4th Step ★Now we’re going to prepare the arm holes to be hemmed by turning your shirt inside out and folding the edges of your arm hole Twice over! You want the end of your hem too me your penciled in guide. Then, iron down the fold so that we create an easy to guide to sew over. :D

Careful not to burn your fingers ; A ; ! Slow and steady XD

★ 5th Step ★And finally the actual sewing! You don’t need to hem the whole side, just the section that your arm will go through!

Next, Repeat step 4 & 5 for the other side!

★ 6th Step ★

So now, what we have so far is a dressy looking poncho of sorts hehe…

No worries, we’ll fix this :D but first we need to mark where we are going to sew next!

Pin together your flaps of fabric previously cut in step 3 where your (for lack for better words) armpit hemline is located so that we make sure the fabric is as aligned as we can get (don’t worry if it isn’t exact, mine wasn’t haha!) so this way it’s less likely for the fabric to move around when we start sewing a bit later :D

★ 7th Step ★

Taking a straight edge or ruler + Pencil, draw a diagonal line from the bottom of your sleeve hemline outwards to the bottom of your shirt.

We want our shirt to have a triangular shape :D

★ 8th Step ★

Sew along your guidelines. Be sure that your shirt is still inside out! So now the sides should look something like this:

(Pay no mind to my booboos TEEHEE! XD;;)

Cut off the left over fabric to keep it nice and neat!

And here is what it might look like thus faaaar!

★ 9th Step ★

As you can see, the shirt is looking pretty long haha. Which could work out if that’s what the style you want to go for hehe.

In this next step, we’re going to take up the length and give the end of our shirt a more feminine flare by cutting out some curves :D

So, how short you may want to go is up to you!

I decided that the shortest I’d cut would be 6 ½ inches up and the most I would cut would be 9 ¾

Turn the shirt inside out once more, measure your desired longest and shortest points, and then mark it!

Draw a curve from your shortest length to your longest in order to indicate where you will cut!

★ 10th Step ★

Cut, following guideline and leave about 1 cm or so for hemming/lining!

★ 11th Step ★

(Almost done everyone! Haha! XD;)

For the last few steps, you want to basically repeat steps 4 & 5 for the bottom of your shirt. Folding, Ironing, and sewing your hemline!

And Done!!

I hope you enjoyed my first D.I.Y. and will maybe give it a try :D Forgive my lack of illustrations for some of the steps XD; If I do another one in the future I’ll be sure to be a bit more consistent :)

Thank you for reading!

Love your,

Oishii Jenny! = w =)v

Hello everyone! ☆’:.*ヾ(●・v・人・v・○)ノ*.:’☆
We finally made our first blog post~ We also have an Ameblo where we blog in Japanese, but this is our first in English! ♡ Please check it out~

We recently signed up for a local boot camp program! ヽ(。>∀<)ノ However, today was the first day~ We were really looking forward to it and even after everything we can still say we had fun! ☆ We’re going to work really hard~ (`・ω・´)ゞ

This was our first time every at an actual gym so we were pretty nervous. ( ´_ゝ`;) We felt so out of place! There was lots of younger guys with lots of muscles so it was really intimidating. (´;д;`) However, everyone else in our class is a lot older, so we weren’t too nervous around them in the end! It turns out that we’re probably the youngest members at the gym though! (*´∀`*´)ゞww We signed up for an unlimited monthly pass, so we’ll be able to go everyday! We’re going to start out by going 3 times a week though to pace ourselves~ (o´ω`o)

We started out with 3 laps through the huge gym parking lot (which is up and down a ramp and multiple flights of stairs ww) and then back inside to do other exercises on the TRX Suspension Training machine and others. The TRX looked fun at first, but it’s more like a torture device! ・゚・(・´ω`・人・´ω`・)・゚・ We’ll get to like it as we get stronger though~ The Bosu ball jump squats were definitely the most difficult though. (´A`。) We’re really looking forward to getting better at them!! ☆ミ(o*・ω・)ノ

Like we expected, it was very, very hard. We gave it our all though! ヾ(*´▽`*)ノ We were even working so hard that our noses were running a bit. (。◕ˇε ˇ◕。)ゞww We had a tough time with the most basic exercise though; push-ups. We’ve always been so bad at them! (,,´д`) We’ll get better with the more we do though~

No matter how hard it gets, we absolutely won’t give up! (◎ゝω・)人(・ω<◎) Even if you’re awful at first, if you give up at the beginning you’ll never get any better, right? When it gets really tough, we remind ourselves that other idols like Momoiro Clover go through training like this everyday! We really admire their physical strength and energy, so it motivates us a lot. (*´ω`*)♡ We hope that we can become amazing performers like them one day! ヾ(●´▽`●)ノ

We’re really excited to go through this! We’ve wanted to get into a structured fitness program for a while now, and we thought that this summer would be the perfect time~ We hope that this can really be a stepping stone to a healthier lifestyle and becoming more fit! This will be our summer~!! (。+・`ω・´)

Finally, to celebrate our first successful boot camp session, we treated ourselves to a Gari Gari-kun popsicle! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ They’re really special to us because they remind us of our homestay in Fukuoka~ ♡ We were so happy to find them here just in time for summer! They’re only 60 calories each too! Not bad~ヽ(。>∀<)ノ

Anyways, we’ll continue to do our best! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ We’re really excited for the direction that O!P is going in, and we really hope that everyone else is as well. Please look forward to what the future has in store~ (>ω<*)ノ

Bye bye~♪

Hello everyone~ This is my very first blog entry on the Oishii website, so I hope I’m doing it right.

Today I had a really realllllly fun day with my mom!(`・ω・´)”
We went out and ate frozen yogurt, went to a museum, and I saw a little girl that looked just like Haruka Kudo oh my gosh. I just wanted to hug her, she came up to me and complimented my outfit and said she loved my contacts and just oh my gosh she was so precious! (´ ▽`).。o♡

Soon I’m getting my hair cut like Kuudu and I’m dying it a dark brown, so I hope it won’t look too bad.

We went to the mall for a little bit and walked around in the Sanrio store. I didn’t buy anything, but I talked with the store manger. I don’t know what it is, but every time I go we always have something to talk about. She’s such a sweetie. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

I saw a really really cute My Melody make up bag though! I really wanted it, but I didn’t get it. I bought a new make up bag about a month ago, so I didn’t need it.

We had alot of fun when we had frozen yogurt. I got vanilla and cake batter yogurt, and it tasted a~ma~zing!(。・ω・。)ノ♡ I don’t really like chocolate, so I was in heaven. I also had about a pound of mango boba in it. I don’t know what it is, but boba just makes me so happy! They just pop in your mouth like a party oh my gosh. ⊙ω⊙ They didn’t have strawberry boba sadly, but mango was just as good!

On the way home we listened to Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon music and sang along~(ノ´▽`)ノ♪ It was alot of fun and I can’t wait to do it again!!

When we got home a random kitten appeared at our door! She was so so sooooooo cute, we decided to take her in.ヽ(○´∀`)ノ She is such a sweetie, but she doesn’t have a name yet. Does anyone have any ideas?

Well, I’m ending this entry here! I hope you liked it and I’ll talk to you guys again soon! ♡Bye bye♡

Hello everyone!
This is my very first blog entry for Oishii Ichigo!!! *dance around*

So, these past few weeks have been very busy and exciting for me. It’s been con season in England and I have had the great opportunity to perform and attend some of them! They include MCM Expo in London, NemaCon in Middlesbrough and London Anime Con ^^
I had such a great time at all of them, and the best part of it was that I got to meet up with some Oishii Members!
I got to meet Scarlett and Cherry from Ichigo and Splodge(Sophie) from the Mini Cherries at MCM. They came to watch my performance and they were the most enthusiastic members there! We also joined in with the dance meet! It was so much fun dancing outside and the weather was amazing that weekend!
Here’s a picture of us ^^

NemaCon was also lots of fun, and they gave me lots of tasks to do as well as performing for them. I had my hand in DJing..which was so much fun! I also took part in a guest panel and judged a skit contest. I don’t think I am made out to be a judge because I am the most indecisive person in the world, and there were some very good acts! I also got to meet Greg Ayres who is an incredible voice over actor for lots of Animes. Some of them are Air Gear, Angel Beats, Negima, Dragon Ball Z, One Peice… the list is far too long! He was such a cool and down to earth person and he kindly signed my program!

London Anime Con was also lots of fun too! Cherry was there again to support me perform, she is the most enthusiastic audience member I know! We hung out and just walked around for a while and then we went to the party. They gave us glowsticks, so me and Cherry took this opportunity to be massive wotas and do wotegei all night! It was so much fun! I had lost my voice the day after because we were singing so loudly! It was such a great day!
Me and Cherry! My hair is wild because I had just finished dancing >.<

And this is what I wore for the party! It was my first ever attempt at a Harajuku style. I’ve always been interested in it, so I wanted to try it out! I made the headbow myself ^-^

So, as you can see the past few weeks have been very busy, but also lots of fun! I’m so glad I got to meet up with some Oishii members, everyone is just so great!!
As we speak, I am busy recording lines for our upcoming songs, I can’t wait for you guys to hear it!

So for now, Kelsey…over and out! <33

Hello everybody! (´ω`★) How are you all today?
I have just finished my exams so I’m doing whatever I like! I have been getting very into Animal Crossing: Lets Go to the City. I have also been recording my lines for Oishii!Ichigo’s first single. Please look forward to it everybody, I’m really excited! The mini cherries have been uploading some vlogs so check those out too. I’ve also been working on my setlist for my first solo performance! I will be performing at Alcon on Saturday September the 8th, so if you’re going, please come and watch.

This was my favourite stall at MCM everything was so cute!
Recently I went to MCM expo and met up with my fellow UK Ichigos Cherry and Kelsey! They are both so nice and lovely. I did some dancing on stage (including a cover of Perfume’s Love the World with Kelsey and Splodge from the mini cherries!) and bought cute jewellery and lots of food. I also went to the Purikura booths with my friend back in June! It’s really fun there. We picked the Japanese photo booth, you can add all sorts of cute backgrounds, pictures and text! ~ ☆

I hope you liked reading my little blog post, I’ll try my best to blog frequently! *(*´∀`*)☆

いc。こん一羽みんあ!

Haha, I’m really trying my best to practice my Japanese XD; but… even my greeting probably needs work haha.

Well, I’m done with my two summer courses! (yaaaaay) So, to celebrate, my best friend and I went to New Hope in Pennsylvania to get our palms read, eat food, shop, and take some pictures!

So Palm reading was interesting… the psychic says that helping people is part of my destiny * o * and then she told my friend that her boyfriend will do something to bring them closer together sometime during July! So stay tuned… XD

We also paid a visit to the “Soap Opera” which is a bath and body works type of store with more organic bath time products <3 Everything smelled super delicious! I wish I had brought more cash with me TT ^ TT Next Time! >:D

mm… Then we went to a vintage store and looked at fabric squares!

And then I got yelled at for taking pictures * x *;; TEEHEE!

On our way back to the car we stopped and got a late lunch consisting of crab cakes, plantains, fried yuka, and delicious mac n’ cheese! Nomnomnom I decided to be adventurous ordered the “pink flamingo” * o *

… but then I remembered… I don’t like sweet things XD; but the color was really pretty! : D

And that concluded our outing!
Moral of the story, if you’re on the East Coast, check out New Hope for all your shopping/hippie/vintage-y needs XD

As far as Oishii! Ichigo and Oishii! Project goes… the other Ichigo members and myself have been working really hard in preparing the first mini-album! I don’t know a release date, but please look out for us anyway!

And I’ve noticed the mini cherry entries are starting to go up! It’s very exciting to see all the hype they are receiving! I hope you the public will receive them well and give all of them a chance! Everyone is very unique and want to share something special ♪~ so I hope we will all be supported by everyone and I thank all our current supporters for fancying us all as much as you do ♪~

~ Until my next Blog post! ~

Love your,

Jenny = w =)v

P.S. I was talking with my friend Sango while I was writing this, and he asked that I give him a shout out haha so HI SANGO! XD I hope your pork chops, steak, and potatoes are as delicious as you made them sound *Q*
